In perfume, EDP is eau de parfum and EDT is eau de toilette. EDP carries more fragrance oil, usually around 15 to 20 per cent against 5 to 15 per cent, so it smells richer and lasts several hours longer. EDT is lighter and often preferred in hot weather.
