Natural charm or charisma, especially a talent for flirting and attracting a romantic partner. Also used as a verb: to "rizz someone up" is to charm them.

Delusional — usually in a light, self-aware way, about something you badly want to be true. Often paired with the phrase "delulu is the solulu" (delusion is the solution).

To do something exceptionally well or to look fantastic. A term of praise — if you "slayed", you impressed everyone.

A sudden, often irrational feeling of disgust or turn-off toward someone you were attracted to, usually triggered by a small, specific thing they did.

A dramatic improvement in someone's appearance, confidence or circumstances over time — a transformation for the better.

Someone who acts as though they are the protagonist of their own life story. Used approvingly ("main character energy") for confidence, or critically for self-absorption.

Did something exceptionally well, especially with style. Often extended to "ate and left no crumbs" — performed flawlessly, holding nothing back.

A self-reliant, quietly confident person who does their own thing outside the usual social pecking order. Now used mostly ironically, especially about teenage boys.

Someone who seems to move through life without independent thought, repeating the same scripted opinions or actions — as if they were a background character in a video game.

An informal read of someone's mood, attitude or trustworthiness. To "pass the vibe check" is to give off a good impression.

The greatest of all time, or close to it — the highest praise for a person, thing or performance.

A casual, low-effort meal assembled from snacks and bits and pieces rather than a cooked dish — crackers, cheese, olives, whatever's in the fridge.

Making a deliberate, all-out effort to improve your physical appearance — grooming, fitness, style and skincare taken to their limit.

Low-quality, hyper-addictive online content — or the mental fog and short attention span that comes from consuming too much of it.

Admirably true to yourself and unafraid of what others think — saying what you believe regardless of whether it's popular. The rough opposite of "cringe".

Mediocre — distinctly average and not worth the hype. A dismissive rating for something overrated.

On social media, when a reply to a post gets far more likes than the post itself — a sign the crowd sided against the original poster. To "ratio" someone is to bury their take this way.

To step away from the internet and reconnect with the real world. Usually said to someone who has spent too long arguing or posting online.

Outdated or trying slightly too hard — describing tastes and trends (often millennial ones) that are seen as no longer cool.

The imaginary "drug" you're on when you cope with a disappointment through denial or wishful thinking. To "huff copium" is to refuse to accept a bad result.

An exaggeratedly capable, confident and admirable person — usually used half-jokingly to praise someone for a strong or unbothered move.

A euphemism for "kill" or "die", used to discuss death without tripping the automatic content filters of platforms like TikTok and YouTube.

A person's or thing's backstory — the accumulated history and context that explains them. To "drop lore" is to reveal a surprising bit of your past.

To talk at length, often about not very much. A "yapper" won't stop talking, and "yapping" is going on and on.
