What does any% mean?

The purest speedrun category. Reach the credits any way you can. Skip items, skip levels, abuse whatever the game lets you. Only the clock matters.

"He smashed the any% world record by skipping the entire second act."

Speedrunning shorthand: 'any percentage' of completion counts, so you only need to reach the end.

Are glitches allowed in any%?

Usually yes. Plain any% lets you use glitches unless the category is specifically marked glitchless.
