What does bkb mean?
Dota's Black King Bar. Pop it and you shrug off enemy magic and disables for the duration, so you can fight through a stunlock instead of dying in it. The classic carry survival button.

Does BKB block everything?
No. It grants spell immunity and big magic resistance, but some abilities pierce it and it doesn't stop physical attacks. It also gets shorter each time you use it in a fight.
