What does dink mean?
You land a headshot but they've got a helmet, so they survive on low HP. That metallic 'dink' sound is where the name comes from. A dink means they're one tap from dead, so you call it out and your team finishes the job.
"One mid, dinked, he's super low, push and clean him up."

Why doesn't a dink kill if it's a headshot?
Because the target is wearing a helmet, which absorbs enough damage to survive the headshot. A headshot on an unhelmeted enemy usually kills outright.
