What does floor work mean?
The low part of a stage set. Once the dancer is off the pole, she works the floor itself, hip rolls, splits, back arches, crawls toward the rail where the tippers sit. Cheap on the knees, expensive on the wardrobe, but it's where most of the stage tips actually land.
"Her pole work is decent, but the floor work is what packs the rail."
