To gag is to be so floored by something incredible you can barely breathe. The look, the reveal, the talent — it hits so hard you choke on it. 'I'm gagged' means you're stunned in the best way. 'Gag-worthy' is the highest shelf of impressive.

Ballroom and drag slang — the image is being so shocked you literally choke or gag. Popularised globally by RuPaul's Drag Race ('gagging on her eleganza').
