1580 AM KDAY — the first US radio station to go all-hip-hop, broadcasting out of LA from 1983 to 1991. Broke NWA, Ice-T, Run-DMC and the whole West Coast scene. Re-launched on 93.5 FM in 2004 as a classic hip-hop station and still name-checked on records to this day.
