What does knocked mean?
When you drop an enemy's health to zero in a squad mode they don't die — they go into a downed, revivable state, crawling and bleeding out. They're knocked, and only a teammate can pick them back up.
"I knocked two of their squad — push now before they get revived."
Origin
Squad-based battle royales like PUBG and Fortnite, where the 'down but not out' (DBNO) state replaced instant death.

Is knocked the same as dead?
No. Knocked means downed and revivable. They only fully die if they bleed out or get finished off.
