The state of being drunk; a bender. 'Tener un jumo' = to be wasted.
jump out
Street
Undercover or plain-clothes police units who roll up in unmarked vehicles and literally jump out to stop, search, or arrest suspects. London's Met has them, US cities have them, and drill scenes everywhere have a name for them.
jump out boys
General
A plainclothes anti-crime or narcotics unit that ambushes street-level suspects by screeching up in an unmarked car and piling out. Feared on the block; controversial in oversight circles.
jump the turnstile
General
To enter the subway system without paying by vaulting or ducking the turnstile.
jump-throw
Gaming
You jump and let the nade go at the exact apex so it sails the maximum distance the same way every time. Essential for those map-spanning smoke and molly lineups.
jumper
General
A knitted pullover; what Americans call a sweater. Also 'jersey'.
jumpmaster
Gaming
The player flying the squad off the dropship, steering the descent and calling the landing spot. Get it wrong and you all eat a hot drop.

An early label for aesthetic, literary male-male romance manga aimed at women, named after and popularised by the magazine June; a forerunner of the Boys' Love genre.
june bug
Street
A prisoner controlled by stronger inmates and made to run errands, clean, or hold contraband.
june gloom

The persistent low clouds and coastal fog that blanket Southern California in late spring and early summer.
jungler
Gaming
Doesn't hold a lane. They live in the jungle farming neutral monsters between lanes, then roam out to gank - jumping a laner from the side for a free kill. The map-wide playmaker. In MOBAs the jungler often decides the early game.
jungling

Living in the space between lanes, killing neutral camps for gold and XP instead of standing in a lane. It's a whole role, not a side hustle.
junk bond
General
Bond rated below BBB- by S&P or Baa3 by Moody's. Issuer's credit is shaky, so the coupon is juicy to compensate for the real chance you don't get paid back. Polite industry term is 'high yield', but everyone calls them junk.
junt
Street
Memphis-shaped version of 'joint' — does the work of thing/song/person/situation depending on context. The all-purpose pronoun-noun of Memphis slang, alive from 90s tapes through GloRilla today.
jus-now
General
An elastic time expression meaning 'soon' (future) or 'a moment ago' (past). Also 'just now'.
just now
General
A flexible time expression meaning 'in a moment' or 'shortly', though the actual delay can range from minutes to hours. Also 'jus-now'.
juug
Street
A money move — could be a sale, a flip, a side hustle, a one-time score. To 'hit a juug' is to pull off the play and walk away paid.

Visible distension of the neck veins, a sign of elevated central venous pressure seen in heart failure or tamponade.
