pj

What does pj mean?

Pile Jumping. Attacking a player who's already mid-fight with someone else, swooping in to snag the kill and the loot before the original attacker can finish them. Considered scummy etiquette, but all fair in the Wilderness.

"I had him at low HP and some clown PJ'd me for the loot."

Origin

From 'pile jumping' in RuneScape PvP, where a 'pile' of player-killers stack on one target in a single tile (a 'death dot').

Frequently asked questions

Is PJing against the rules?
No, it's allowed in PvP zones, it's just frowned upon. There's no rule stopping you stealing a kill, but expect plenty of salt for it.
