What does reddit switcharoo mean?
The classic Reddit gag where a commenter posts a misdirection link — usually phrased 'hold my X' — that takes you to a previous switcharoo comment, which links to the one before it, and so on. Click and you're falling down a chain stretching back years.
"Hold my coffee, I've got this. (Tap the link and you're three hours deep in the switcharoo.)"
Origin
Originated in r/switcharoo around 2010 — somebody would reply with 'hold my beer' style misdirection ('hold my X, I've got this'), linking back to an earlier comment. The chain grew into a kilometres-long rabbit hole tracked by the sub.
