General
refire
What does refire mean?
Drop the same dish a second time, usually at full speed, because the first one came back, came up wrong, or died on the pass. Refires jump the queue — the table's already waiting, so the line stops what it's doing and gets it out. Nobody likes calling a refire. The cook who caused it likes it least.
"Refire on the duck — table sent it back, wants it pinker."
