repost
What does repost mean?
A post that's already done the rounds, served up again like it's new. Some subs ban them outright, others tolerate them if enough time has passed. The reply guy in the comments will always be there with 'repost' and a link to the original from 2014.
"Nice repost, this was on the front page last Tuesday."
Origin
Generic forum term predating Reddit, but Reddit's karma system turned 'repost' into a specific accusation and a bot-policed offence (RepostSleuthBot).
