serving / serve
What does serving / serve mean?
To present something with maximum intention and flair, the look, the attitude, the whole package, delivered like it's owed to the crowd. Usually paired with a noun for what you're serving: serving looks, serving body, serving attitude. The point is you're not just showing up, you're delivering.
Origin
Ballroom culture, where to 'serve' a category meant to deliver exactly what it demanded, full presentation, on point. Spread through drag and Paris Is Burning into mainstream usage.
