sheep
What does sheep mean?
Mage crowd control: turn a target into a wandering sheep that can't attack until the spell breaks or someone hits it. Used to take a dangerous mob out of the fight.
"Don't AoE yet — I've got the caster sheeped, focus the other two first."
Origin
From the World of Warcraft Mage spell Polymorph, whose default form is a sheep — the name stuck as the verb for the whole mechanic.
Frequently asked questions
