What does soak mean?
In Heroes of the Storm the team levels together, so just being near minions when they die banks experience for everyone. You don't even need the kill, you 'soak' it.
"Someone go soak bottom, we're falling two levels behind their team."

Heroes of the Storm, where XP is shared team-wide so 'soaking' lanes levels the whole squad.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have to last-hit minions to soak XP in HotS?
No. Heroes of the Storm has no last-hitting; just being inside the soak radius when a minion dies awards the experience to your team.
