What does wavedash mean?
Three or more crouchdashes cancelled back to back, giving Mishima characters smooth, threatening forward movement that lets them dash up and launch.

Origin
Tekken; specific to Mishima-style characters (Kazuya, Heihachi, Devil Jin). Distinct from the Smash Bros. wavedash, which is an air-dodge tech.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Tekken wavedash the same as the Smash wavedash?
No. In Tekken it's chained crouchdashes for ground movement. In Smash Bros. it's an air dodge into the ground to slide. Same name, totally different tech.
