What does 1cc (one-credit clear) mean?

The gold standard in shmups and retro arcade games. You start the game, you finish the game, and you do it without ever feeding it another coin. One life pool, no continues, no second chances. It's the line between a casual player and someone who actually beat the game.

Is a 1CC the same as a no-miss?

No. A 1CC means no continues, but you can still die and respawn as long as you don't run out of lives. A no-miss means you never lost a single life.
