What does blink mean?
Dota's Blink Dagger. Click and you instantly teleport a short distance — the go-to tool for initiating onto an enemy or escaping a gank. Takes damage and it goes on a brief cooldown, so timing matters.

Why can't I blink right after taking damage?
Taking damage from an enemy hero or Roshan puts Blink Dagger on a short cooldown, so you can't instantly escape every hit — you have to commit before you're caught.
