chicken blocking
What does chicken blocking mean?
In games that let you block in the air, you jump up to block instead of standing your ground. Airborne you only block one direction, so it shuts down high/low mixups — but you're stuck committing to the jump.
"He's chicken blocking everything, so just bait the jump and anti-air him."
Origin
Popularised in Capcom vs SNK and Marvel vs Capcom circles, where air-blocking exists. The 'chicken' is the cowardice jab.
