What does downdoot mean?
A downvote, dressed up in the same baby-talk costume as updoot. Used ironically when you're punishing a comment but want to soften the blow — or when you're being sarcastic about how serious Reddit karma is.

Origin
Built as the natural pair to updoot once that spelling caught on around the mid-2010s. Less common than updoot because downvoting is, by Reddit etiquette, supposed to be quiet.
