What does gulag mean?
Warzone's redeploy mechanic. Die for the first time and you get shipped to the Gulag — a small arena where you 1v1 another fallen player. Win and you drop straight back into the match; lose and you're out unless your team buys you back.

Origin
Call of Duty: Warzone (2020), which named its respawn arena after the Soviet Gulag prison camps. Now used loosely for any second-chance 1v1.

How many times can you go to the Gulag?
Just once per life in standard Warzone — after that your only way back is a teammate buying you back at a Buy Station.
