Inside, kinfolk is how Black inmates often refer to one another — and how the wider yard taxonomy slots them, the same way whites are 'woods' and Natives are 'chiefs'. Carries family weight rather than insult; you call your kinfolk because you're expected to ride for them.

An oval braided cinnamon cake glazed with sugar in Mardi Gras colours — purple for justice, green for faith, gold for power. A tiny plastic baby is hidden inside; whoever gets the slice with the baby has to buy the next king cake. Eaten only between Twelfth Night (6 January) and Fat Tuesday.

The act of using AI face-swap tools to paste Charlie Kirk's face onto reaction images, viral clips and unrelated memes. A textbook transgressive-meme trend — half the engagement is the shock that people are doing it at all.

A common noisy bird (Pitangus sulphuratus) named for its call, with a bright yellow breast.

kiss

Apply the lightest possible touch — a few seconds under the salamander to warm a plate, a whisper of salt, a quick brush of oil. The whole point is restraint: if you can taste or see it clearly, you overdid it.

Your loadout is complete. Purple or red shield, fully kitted gun with every attachment slot filled, optic dialled in. You're not scrambling for loot anymore, you're hunting.

Lineman's pliers — the chunky side-cutting pliers electricians live by. Klein Tools so completely dominated the category that the brand became the tool. Saying 'pass me the Klein's' on a job site means the pliers, even if they're a different brand. Like Hoover for vacuum, Kleenex for tissue.

klempt

Genuinely ravenous. Not peckish, not 'could eat' — hollow. Manc shorthand for 'feed me before I bite someone'.

Military slang for one kilometer, used constantly when giving distances on the ground.

The ubiquitous Dominican text/chat abbreviation of '¿qué lo qué?', used as a casual 'what's up' or 'hey'.

A lot of it is about fear and trust rather than actual cutting; the cold flat, the point, the implied danger. Firmly in edgeplay territory, so it lives and dies on control and consent.
