What does mmr mean?
Matchmaking Rating. A behind-the-scenes number the game uses to gauge your skill and pair you against players of a similar level. Win and it climbs, lose and it drops, and it usually drives your visible rank underneath.
"My visible rank is Gold but my MMR is tanked, so I keep getting thrown into Platinum lobbies."
