A geographic region of India, comprising the southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana, as well as the union territories of Lakshadweep and Pondicherry. These regions speak mainly Dravidian languages, and have distinct cuisine and culture.
