A trope where two characters agree to pretend they're together — for a wedding, a visa, to spite an ex, to make a grandma happy — and the fake feelings get inconveniently real. Built for forced proximity and 'we have to sell this' kissing.

You start the defuse so it beeps, then instantly stop. The noise panics a lurking enemy into peeking to stop you, and you're already aimed at them.
