A genteel expression of astonishment, mild dismay, or surprise.

A folksy exclamation of surprise or delight.

Literally 'what are you saying?', used as a casual greeting like 'what's up with you?'.

A flexible word meaning 'where', 'what', or a relative 'that/which' depending on context.

The technique of sewing additional wefts of hair into a wig to increase density or create dramatic styles common in anime characters.

Short for Glaswegian — anyone from Glasgow. Worn as a badge by Glaswegians themselves, slung with affectionate eye-rolling by Edinburghers, and used neutrally by everyone else. Like 'scouser' or 'cockney': the city's people in one syllable.

Same thing as 'in the weeds' — buried, drowning, behind on every ticket. Just shorter, which is the point when you're this busy.
