knock me a kiss

An affectionate parting line between sweethearts.

A brevity code, used in training, directing all participants to cease air-combat maneuvers, attacks, and exercise activities immediately, usually for safety.

A refusal; as a verb, to reject something (or to quickly drink one).

Edge play in the literal sense. A knife is dragged, traced and pressed across the skin, slow and methodical, for the sensation and the psychological charge of the threat. A very heavy squat that pushes you to the limit, where the knees start to buckle under the load.

Hurts. The Geordie verb for physical pain — a stubbed toe, a dodgy back, a fresh tattoo. 'Knacked' also doubles as broken or exhausted, same as 'knackered' down south.

To hurt or ache; 'knacks' means it hurts.

To know; a shortened dialect spelling of 'knaa'.

An initialism representing the sucking-teeth sound used to express annoyance or disdain.

The ubiquitous Dominican text/chat abbreviation of '¿qué lo qué?', used as a casual 'what's up' or 'hey'.

Military slang for one kilometer, used constantly when giving distances on the ground.

Genuinely ravenous. Not peckish, not 'could eat' — hollow. Manc shorthand for 'feed me before I bite someone'.

Lineman's pliers — the chunky side-cutting pliers electricians live by. Klein Tools so completely dominated the category that the brand became the tool. Saying 'pass me the Klein's' on a job site means the pliers, even if they're a different brand. Like Hoover for vacuum, Kleenex for tissue.

Behavior or a person that is excessively hyper, loud, or attention-seeking to the point of being annoying. Sometimes applied affectionately to energetic idols.

The furry brown-skinned fruit with green or gold flesh; never just called 'kiwi' in NZ to avoid confusion with the bird or people.

Positioned diagonally across an intersection or from another object. Common across the North, Midland, and West.

Presenting a slightly dishonest version of yourself on dating apps, like using heavily edited or years-old photos and exaggerating your height, job, or interests, without fully faking your identity.

Your loadout is complete. Purple or red shield, fully kitted gun with every attachment slot filled, optic dialled in. You're not scrambling for loot anymore, you're hunting.

Move-attack-move. Fire off an auto, step back, fire again — keeping distance between you and whatever's chasing. Ranged carries live and die by it.
