To get in trouble — usually with parents, teachers, the missus, or the law. Carries the weight of consequences coming your way, whether that's a bollocking or worse. School-corridor staple across Manchester.

Hands. Get your German bands off, etc. A relic that survives in older Cockney speech and East End nostalgia.

A person from Tyneside, especially Newcastle; also the dialect itself. Historically applied to North East pitmen.

A service member who is married but lives at a duty station away from their spouse and family.

Very, really, well — the Geordie intensifier you stick in front of an adjective to crank it up. Same job as 'dead' or 'proper' elsewhere in England.

Buzzing with excitement, lit up, can't sit still. Used for anything from a concert announcement to a takeaway arriving. The default Gen-Z sense — no drugs implied.
