Love, sweetheart, darling. The Welsh equivalent of 'love' or 'pet' — used by nans, partners, and anyone behind a counter who's old enough to remember decimalisation. Said with warmth, never irony.

cargar el payaso

Expresses that something went badly wrong; 'ya me cargó el payaso' means 'I'm screwed'.

A significant, intentional change of career direction into a new role, industry, or profession, often leveraging transferable skills.

career cushioning

Proactively taking steps such as networking and scanning job boards to prepare a 'plan B' in case one's current role changes or is eliminated. It is a hedge against layoffs and uncertainty.
