The public-address loudspeaker system on a base, often used to broadcast alarms such as incoming fire.

To praise, salute or give respect and recognition to a person or group.

Shorthand for a critically ill patient — the kind you clock from the doorway. Opposite of 'little sick' (the walking, talking, mildly miserable). Used in triage to separate the truly time-critical from the noise.
