A stretch — for a creator, a celebrity or just yourself — where the engagement, luck or vibes have visibly dipped. Borrowed from stan-Twitter's habit of dividing pop stars' careers into 'eras' (imperial era, comeback era, flop era) and now used self-deprecatingly on TikTok about anything from a bad posting streak to a rough month at work. Half lament, half joke.

When the parole board says no. You walked in expecting a date, you walk out with another year — or three — before you can apply again. 'Got a two-year flop' = denied with two years until your next hearing.

One of the five elements of vogue. Floorwork (or floor performance) is everything done on the ground — rolling, twisting, arching, splits, sensual posing, dramatic descents. It's where a performer proves they can be just as commanding lying down as standing up. The dip lives here, but so does slow, controlled, hypnotic body work.
