An affectionate, playful term for someone who is cute or attractive.

A cunning chancer who quietly works the system and comes out on top while everyone else is none the wiser. Said with grudging admiration as often as contempt — there's respect in calling someone a cute hoor.

A turn performed on the shoulder or flats of a wave to bring the surfer back toward the breaking, most powerful part.

A pointed, disdainful glance cutting from one's eyes to signal disapproval or scorn.

By extension, to give a good account of oneself in cant, marking one as a true member of the crew.

When the dining room thins out, the manager 'cuts' sections — closing them one by one and releasing servers so payroll doesn't bleed through a dead hour. The last server standing closes the floor.

cut off the lights

A Southern way of saying "turn off"—applied to lights, the TV, or the water.

To go all-out and successfully complete a demanding set (also seen as 'X'd out') — giving maximum effort to finish.

Describes a physique lean enough that muscles look clearly defined and separated.

customer-centric

Describing a strategy or culture that puts the customer at the centre of decisions.

A bespoke piece of content — usually a video — shot to a specific fan's brief: their name said on camera, their kink catered to, sometimes their face or username on a sign in shot. Customs sit at the top of the price ladder because they can't be resold and the fan knows it.

Mildly affectionate, mildly contemptuous shorthand for the guy in the chair. A regular custie is gold — predictable spend, knows the routine. A new custie is a coin flip between big tipper and total time-vampire. Borrowed from broader service-industry 'custy.'

custard and jelly

The television. 'Custard and jelly' rhymes with 'telly', and is clipped to 'custard', dropping the rhyme.

A loud argument or quarrel involving swearing and abuse.

Excellent, fine or satisfactory; often said to mean 'all good' or 'sorted'.

The set of backup people themselves, sometimes called cushions.

Curving is dodging a person's romantic interest indirectly, giving non-committal replies and excuses rather than an honest rejection.

Used half-jokingly to call out the class overachiever.

The Sun, Britain's red-top tabloid. The dominant modern sense — pub talk, taxi-driver talk, page-three era and beyond.

curls for the girls

Doing lots of bicep curls purely for aesthetics/attention, stereotyped as what impresses onlookers.

The falling, curling portion of a wave as it breaks, forming the powerful part surfers ride alongside.

cupsleeve event

A fan-organised celebration, usually for an idol's birthday, held at a cafe that hands out custom cup sleeves and merchandise.

cuppa tea and a lie down

A humorous suggestion that someone overwrought should rest and calm down.

A hot drink, usually tea; from 'cup of'.
